Job DevOps Lead Engineer - Azure, Parramatta

We’re currently looking for a DevOps Lead Engineer to own and evolve modern cloud and hybrid infrastructure across production Azure environments, on-premise platforms and large-scale migration initiatives.

This is a high-impact opportunity suited to someone who is technically strong, delivery-focused and comfortable leading a small engineering team while remaining hands-on across platform operations.

The Role
Own and operate production Azure environments
Lead cloud engineering across APIM, App Services, Azure Functions and AKS
Manage Kubernetes platforms including deployments, scaling, networking and observability
Drive migration initiatives from on-premise and GCP into Azure
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform or similar
Champion GitOps practices using ArgoCD or similar tooling
Support automation, security scanning and policy enforcement
Manage Azure networking, identity, RBAC/IAM and governance
Support hybrid infrastructure and Hyper-V environments
Improve monitoring, alerting and operational runbooks
Lead and mentor a small DevOps/platform engineering team
Work closely with engineering, cyber security and delivery stakeholders

About You
5+ years’ experience across DevOps, platform or infrastructure engineering
Strong hands-on Azure experience
Experience with AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, APIM and Azure networking
Production Kubernetes experience
Strong CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or Bicep
Good understanding of GitOps principles and tooling
Experience across networking, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and VPNs
Strong scripting skills across PowerShell, Bash or Python
Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach
