Job Project Officer, Parramatta

Contribute to the delivery of nationally significant renewable electricity and renewable fuel initiatives playing a key role in Australia’s transition to a more sustainable future.

• Clerk Grade 7/8; Salary ranges from $113,574 - $125,720 + super

The National GreenPower Accreditation Program is currently seeking to appoint Project Officers in several teams. In addition to filling immediate vacancies, we will also be assessing candidates’ suitability for future vacancies, including the Renewable Electricity Team and Marketing Team, that may become available over the next 18 months.

GreenPower is a national program administered by the NSW Government which provides accreditation for renewable electricity and renewable fuel industries.

About the Roles

Renewable Fuels Team roles – 2x ongoing

The Project Officer roles in GreenPower’s Renewable Fuels Team will support the advancement of renewable and future fuels, as well as innovative market models for clean energy solutions. You will lead specific projects supporting the ongoing operation of the GreenPower Renewable Gas Certification. You will support the design and implementation of new renewable fuel certification schemes. This position requires strong project management skills, effective communications, stakeholder engagement expertise, and experience in relevant industries preferred.

Marketing Team role - temporary up to June 2026 with potential for ongoing

The Project Officer role in GreenPower’s Marketing Team leads specific projects and supports delivery of marketing priorities for the GreenPower Program. You will lead development of marketing materials including website and social media content, leading event and sponsorship projects, external stakeholder engagement and coordination. The position requires great communication skills, stakeholder engagement expertise, and project management skills.

Renewable Electricity Team – Talent Pool

The Project Officer role in GreenPower’s Renewable Electricity Team supports the ongoing operations for the renewable electricity accreditation program. You will lead specific projects that include the accreditation of electricity generators and providers, annual audit processes, support product development and application of program adaptation skills. This position requires strong project management skills, effective communications, stakeholder engagement expertise, and experience in relevant industries preferred.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professionals with experience in industry related project management and strong communicators. An understanding of renewable fuels and or renewable electricity sectors, and energy transition sustainability knowledge is valuable. You are keen to learn and apply your knowledge, be open to sharing your ideas, be accountable for your work, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Essential Requirements

• A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience is essential.
