Rate: $900 - $1000 per day + super
A leading public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Project Development Manager to support the early-stage planning and development of strategic road infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for shaping and progressing transport outcomes that balance multiple technical, stakeholder, and community needs.
Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will contribute to the preparation of reports, strategic presentations, and documentation that inform investment decisions and guide the future transport network.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead and coordinate the development of early-stage road infrastructure projects from concept through to feasibility.

Prepare clear, concise, and compelling reports and presentations for senior stakeholders and executive review.

Engage with technical subject matter experts (SMEs), policy and planning teams, and communications stakeholders to align project objectives.

Apply sound judgement to resolve technical challenges and adapt to an evolving organisational and project environment.

Ensure all deliverables support broader transport and planning strategies and meet governance and compliance requirements.

Demonstrated experience working on road infrastructure or transport development projects.

Strong capability in producing well-structured reports and presentations that translate complex technical content into clear recommendations.

Proven ability to balance competing project needs, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and manage ambiguity.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at multiple levels.

Familiarity with public sector processes, infrastructure project planning, and government investment frameworks (preferred but not essential).
