Job Facility Manager, Parramatta

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ are seeking a Facilities Manager to join our team based at Horsley Park. You will play a crucial role in managing the environmental compliance and rehabilitation transition of the Horsley Park and Riverstone landfill sites. This role will require a strong understanding of the application of environmental compliance, health and safety and contractor management processes.

What you'll be responsible for

• Oversee and manage activities across the following areas: Landfill rehabilitation and aftercare, Planning and design, Infrastructure development, Environmental compliance, Managing and controlling nuisances, Equipment maintenance, Administration and weighbridge functions

• Undertake risk assessment and hazard identification to support operational initiatives

• Implement visible leadership processes to assess and promote health, safety and environmental compliance at the landfills

• Ensure the health and safety of all employees, contractors and visitors to the landfill sites

• Ensure environmental compliance at the landfill sites is maintained and at the forefront of all decisions

What you'll need to be successful

• Experience in landfill management, including design, constructions and operations experience

• Demonstrated understanding of relevant environmental legislation and familiarisation with EPA NSW requirements

• Demonstrated experience in applying Quality, Environmental and OH&S Management systems

• Proven leadership skills – with experience managing operational staff management and site rehabilitation

• Drivers Licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle
