Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Hand/Pickup and Delivery Specialist to join our Blacktown team. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless transportation of furniture items between our workshop and our valued clients, as well as providing general assistance within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pickup and Delivery: Safely transport furniture items to and from client locations, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries, addressing any inquiries professionally.
- Furniture Handling: Assist in loading and unloading furniture, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Workshop Assistance: Support the workshop team with general tasks, including moving materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including obtaining necessary signatures and completing relevant paperwork.
Requirements:
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items safely.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure furniture is handled and transported without damage.
- Experience: Previous experience in delivery or furniture handling is a plus but not mandatory.
